The way the middle slice is able to pass a theme along to the bottom slice without having any "real identifiable objects" in it?

i'm digging the skull to feet transition from the top to the bottom.

I'm ashamed of myself. Although I was trying to go with the original corpse idea of having a head then body then legs...but I think we have all moved beyond that...I'll do better next time, I promise. Although, I do like how the red line bleeds into the foot, it almost looks like the bloody foot is leaking into the slice above it.
