Hey, love that second slice there Manila! I never suspected that was a Yellow Brick Road - I was convinced it was sweetcorn! I'm not very pleased with my blend on that side, but I figured I'd hung on to the slice for too long already, so I'd better just submit it as it was. The tinman, scarecrow and cowardly lion are great - did you draw them from scratch? I like the style.

I also love how Jacob turned my carrots into particularly nasty-looking teeth!

Did you mean for the carrots to look like teeth, kodgetts? I was doing a bunch of google searches trying to find examples of fossil dentition to use as models...nothing looked like them, though, and as I was drawing it finally dawned on me that those were actually carrots, making the purple stuff likely to be cabbage, and so I stuck with the vegetable theme in coloring the mouth...I just realized though that the scale of the fingers is way off, maybe because I was actually thinking of the teeth as carrots? Good excuse, no?

No they were'nt intended to look like teeth, Jacob. More like legs for my sweetcorn beastie!

I just saw what looked like sweetcorn on the right, and what looked like red cabbage on the left, and went with the vegetable theme...

I don't think you need worry about the scale of the fingers though - we are talking about a mouth full of carrot-teeth and green gums here!! And the mouth belongs to a head made from red cabbage!
Realism doesn't enter into the equation!!

Kodgetts,

Okay, I believe you! The possibility is definitely there, I'm sure you recognize, to intentionally devise your segment so the last 15 pixels suggest something other than what is actually represented....I thought maybe the line cutting across your carrots, which was one of the strongest "teeth!" signals I received, could have been a plant (ha ha)...

Looks delicious guys!

It's such a bright and cheery corpse.

Yeah, the black line was the last thing I did, just to do something with the existing line on the far right. I can see how that may have mislead you now! ;^)

Actually, when you zoom out into the thumbnail view, it really does look like a skull. Nifty.

Hey, thanks for the comment Kodgetts! I really like how it turned out - tho' I wonder if anyone's noticed the wee white line above mine - oops! When I saw Jen's preview I suddenly thought, hey Return to OZ (now that's a class movie!) The trio are knicked of a illistration nicked off somewhere with a rather crazy lookin' dorothy
