Yeah, sorry for holding it up folks!! I started work on the final slice, but didn't have time to finish it so I thought I'd better let someone else have a go...

Looks great though! I love the abstract pattern in the top two slices :)

Look forward to corpsing with you guys again as soon as I have some freetime ;)

Thanks. I'm sorry about the seam, and I didn't continue the white lines, even though I meant to. I'm going away in...er...7 hours or so for almost a week and wanted to be finished. My apologies.

Still, my dream-machine concept seems to have worked out.

Mark, please don't be offended, but I think your trailing edge was a bit complex, almost muddled. Try to provide simpler, more identifiable shapes? I do like the curve Jen extended, it looks like two pieces of cloth fastened together or something - and it does criss-cross one of the white lines, so they did make it to the end after all!

BTW, I like the GIMP, too, though I've been sticking to Photoshop lately because my new WACOM tablet isn't set up right under Linux....the 2.0 pre-release looks amazing...I really could have edited my piece in this corpse with the GIMP, though, since I drew and colored it on paper (I eyeballed it, which is why some of it doesn't work right at all...next time I'll print out the slice I'm given and paste it onto my paper) and then adjusted the colors and touched up the lines in PS.

Whats the GIMP??

Posted by: kodgetts at May 1, 2004 12:22 PM

It's the "GNU Image Manipulation Program," a free photomanipulation program...some people call it a Photoshop clone, but it's been around long enough that Photoshop has taken some ideas from it...

There are versions available for Linux (the core version), Windows, and Mac OS X (which is the one version I wouldn't recommend at all).

This one definately has lots of interest! I can't believe there were only 2 corpses done this month. Is everyone just super busy or enjoying spring?

Super busy!!

Super busy also, trying not to fail the final year of my degree. I really enjoyed the one corpse I've contributed to, hoping to do another when there's less pressure on!
